The past 18 months have been a whirlwind of activity at CustomChannels.net. We're pleased to have been chosen by some of the top broadcasters in the country including Entercom, Greater Media and CBS Radio to provide content creation, management and delivery solutions for HD Radio.

When Entercom Communications Corp needed a creative and cost-effective solution to create and manage dozens of HD2 channels in markets across the country, they called Custom Channels. We helped them create a 'network' of HD2 Channels that allows Entercom PDs to program and manage their channels - including LOCAL imaging and promos on all channels. We coordinated with programming, engineering and IT to build a system to fit Entercom's specific needs for both digital broadcast and internet streaming of their channels.

Streaming Custom Channels on the Web is a great first step for radio to expand into the digital realm. But the real excitement is over the new possibilities that HD Radio brings to broadcast radio. In much the same way FM revitalized radio in the '70s, HD Radio will revitalize radio in the 00's and Custom Channels is part of the radio's next big technological advance.
