The NASA space program is asking the public to pick from a list of 40 songs on its website. The two most popular songs will be the wake-up calls during the Discovery STS-133 launch on November 1, 2010. If you feel like being more creative, NASA is also asking for original space-themed songs. Two of those songs will be used to wake-up the Endeavour crew in February 2011 as the shuttle makes its last trip into space. Normally, the astronauts’ friends and family members get to pick the songs. Go to the NASA Space Rock web site. Make sure to listen to the songs and hear NASA communications with the shuttle crew. The songs play for about a minute followed by the earth-to-shuttle conversation. Hear what astronauts have to say about the wake up music. |
