The Custom Channels Blog

Businesses love playing Christmas music. Our huge Holiday music library makes it special.

November and December is a busy time of year at the North Pole for Santa and his elves, and it’s busy here at Custom Channels, too. While Santa is makin’ toys and packin’ the sleigh, we are injecting lots of Christmas songs and holiday tunes into our music-for-business channels.

One of our most popular channels is “Holiday and Christmas” on our All Access lineup of music channels. This is our popular all-Christmas channel. It’s upbeat songs that sound good in restaurants, retail stores and businesses that trust Custom Channels to bring the holiday spirit into their business environment.

Here are the most played Christmas titles (in rank order) by all artists on our 24/7 “Holiday and Christmas” All Access channel for the 2013 season:

Of course, we play Christmas music on our customized channels, too, like Whole Foods Market Radio or Floyd’s 99 Barbershop Radio. On those channels we mix in the Christmas songs with the regular playlist giving the client’s music service a fun seasonal sound without going full-time Christmas.

We’ve have thousands of Christmasy, holiday songs to play. Here are the some of our favorite off-beat, non-traditional holiday titles we played during the 2013 season:

“Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)” by Joey Ramone
“Soul Christmas” by Graham Parker
“Christmas In Hollis” by Run D.M.C.
“Zat You, Santa Claus” by Louis Armstrong
” Christmas Comes But Once a Year” by B.B. King
“Colorado Christmas” by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band or by Steve Goodman
“Mele Kalikimaka” by Jimmy Buffett
“Twinkle Little Christmas Lights” by JD McPherson
“We Wish You The Merriest” by Frank Sinatra with Bing Crosby

So whether you love the traditional or the non-traditional Christmas music, or a mix of both, we’ve got it at Custom Channels as we strive each year to go Beyond Background music.
